Purple Thainapple combines the massive-yielding, eight-week Thainapple with the purple, fruit-forward Açaí Juice. Thainapple contributes its characteristic fermented pineapple and tepache aroma, while Açaí Juice brings the potential for grape, blueberry, dark berry and other fruit expressions. Genotypes expressing stronger Açaí traits may develop pronounced purple coloration late in flower, while others may retain the tropical, fermented pineapple character of Thainapple. A cross built around two highly distinctive fruit profiles with complementary flowering traits.
