Organic Alfalfa Meal - Medicago sativa
One of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. Alfalfa has a deep root system that pulls up a wide range of minerals from deep below the topsoil. High in micronutrients, increases microbial activity, an excellent soil conditioner & activator in compost piles. Alfalfa is unique in that it contains triacontanol, a growth stimulant that increases photosynthesis, rate of plant growth, and yield.

For topdressing, broadcast 1-2tbsp per gallon of soil
For new plantings, add 2-4 tbsp per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly OR add 4 lbs per cubic yard. For established plants, lightly mix 1-2 tbsp per gallon into the soil surface once each month during the growing season.
To prepare new gardens, apply 2.5 pounds per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3″ of soil. For new transplants, add 1-2 tbsp per hole, mix into soil and water in well. To feed established plants, side dress ½ cup once each month during the growing season to promote plant growth.
